Mountain Partnership Development Officer

ICIMOD is looking for an Asia Pacific Mountain Partnership Development Officer who will be responsible for providing outreach and support to the members of the Mountain Partnership based or active in the Asia Pacific region.

If you have advanced university degree in Social Science/Natural Resources disciplines and relevant experience in a field related to sustainable mountain development; good working knowledge of international development and technical cooperation issues; five to seven years of related professional experience in international/regional development, networking and technical cooperation issues including within the Asia Pacific region; you can apply for the post.

Mountain GIS e-conference 2008

The two-week GIS (geographic information systems) e-conference is being organised jointly by ICIMOD and the Mountain Forum Secretariat (MFS) from 14-25 January 2008.

The main objectives of the conference is to provide a virtual platform to share knowledge and experiences in the geo-information community by facilitating dialogue among a broad user base in the region and beyond.
