PhD position at Kathmandu University

Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University has invited PhD application for 2008.

Candidate with a minimum of 17 years of prior education, minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 50% marks in aggregate at Master's level in relevant fields from a recognized university, and age under 35 can apply for the position.

Scholarships for Nature Conservation

Prince Bernhard Scholarships (PBS) for the year 2008 has been announced. The scholarship in the year 2007 was awarded to Africa (4), Asia (5) and Latin America/Caribbean (7).

PBS are awarded to individuals wishing to pursue professional studies or courses or trainings in the field of conservation or associated disciplines.

Free online full text scientific articles

According to the HighWire Press website, it provide free online articles. It has been mentioned that, 'the HighWire Press is the largest archive of free full-text science on Earth!'. It claims to assist in the online publication of 1,815,989 free full-text articles and 4,528,337 total articles. Furthermore, it lists 22 sites with free trial periods, 43 completely free sites, 248 sites have free back issues, and 977 sites have pay per view.
