Conservation study fellowship in Nepal

WWF Nepal has setup different scholarships to study conservation related courses. The scholarships are from certificate level to master level. The details are as follows:

1. NEPAL CONSERVATION MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP:
Each year WWF will award this scholarship to a top student who has completed a ten years of compulsory education and would like to pursue a Technical Certificate Level (TCL) in Forestry at the Tribhuvan University, Institute of Forestry (IOF), Hetauda Campus.

2. MINGMA SHERPA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
This scholarship is offered for students from Nepal’s mountainous regions to pursue a Technical Certificate Level (TCL) in Forestry at the Tribhuvan University, Institute of Forestry (IOF), Pokhara Campus. After completing the TCL, WWF will further support Mingma Sherpa scholars to pursue a 4 years Bachelors of Science degree at the Institute of Forestry. Students from the protected areas of Sagarmatha, Kangchenjunga, Dolpa, and Langtang who will sit for the 2007

3. JILLIAN BOWLING SCHLAEPFER AND JENNIFER HEADLEY SCHOLARSHIPS:
WWF will award two scholarships to women and students from minority/ethnic groups in Nepal to pursue a Bachelors degree of Science at the Tribhuvan University, Institute of Forestry in Pokhara.

4. CHANDRA GURUNG MEMORIAL FELLOWSHIP:
This fellowship is awarded to pursue a Master’s Degree in the Nepal in a conservation related field. The scholarship recipient will receive $7,500 over a period of 2 years to cover tuition, living expenses, books and supplies, and thesis research costs while pursuing a Master’s Degree in a conservation-related field at any Universities in Nepal.
